Could Wearing Mismatched Socks Make You A Billionaire?

Crazy idea, I know but The New York Times sure thinks so!

The article, "A Foot in the Door in Silicon Valley" looks at successful tech entrepreneurs in San Francisco’s Silicon Valley and their “flamboyant, coloured, audaciously patterned socks.”

In a land where the uniform includes staples such as jeans, hoodies and flip-flops (notice no ties or suits) wearing flashy socks is more than an expression of their personality. It shows those that they are part of the in crowd, a “secret handshake” for those who have arrived, and for those who want to.

Socks in Silicon Valley are a nod to fashion without appearing as though one isn’t playing by the sometimes otherwise pretentious and mundane fashion rules.

Brilliantly coloured and patterned socks have been spotted on entrepreneurs including Dick Costolo, Twitter’s chief executive (colorful stripes); Jim Breyer, an early Facebook investor at the venture capital firm Accel (red and purple); and Om Malik, the founder of GigaOmniMedia, a blog network (polka dots).

The most popular selling are ones with geometric patterns, pink and purple, socks with words like bacon and beer and anything with ninjas ranging anywhere from $12-40 a pair.

So get a jump start now and browse our numerous colours and patterns of our mismatched sock line!!
